Going down the rabbit hole...

For those that are downtrodden in their lives, who have no direction, no basic feeling of "wonder"...I suggest you try this book. Insightful, very well written and exploratory, it gives us a very clean, uninhibited view of the great "I AM" (god). For those who have not experienced this phenomenon, I suggest you give this publication a try.

Good Information and Philosophy; Not Newbie Friendly

Having loosely followed the author's internet efforts for around a year before the creation of the book, and on a spiritual path for far longer, I found the enclosed info relatively familiar. What I really appreciated about the "complete guide" was in the fact that it is indeed a complete system of belief. Further, Shawn's enlightened philosophy is unconstrictive and growth-promoting, not forcing you into a small set of specifics but focusing on the big picture, the many sandbags and cables behind the curtain of this massive stage we call life; inherent mechanics of the metaphysical universe that keep the gears turning. In terms of informational content, and the concise, cut-the-crap presentation of hard gained wisdom, I can't give I AM GOD high enough praise without sounding like a biased, gushing fanboy.

However, the very presentation that makes Shawn's book such a powerful asset for veterans of the spiritual life view makes it a difficult read for the less experienced. I tried to read a chapter or two from a more mundane viewpoint, not calling on my years of experience getting down the "feelings" of spirit, and the preconcieved understandings that came with it. It seemed very lofty and ungrounded in reality with all its spiritual terminology and reliance on notions that put humans in a more deified state than mortal. Indeed, from that view I could have halled the author arrogant without batting an eye, as that is definitely how he comes across for the uninitiated (the internet certainly proved that enough times). Because of this I can't give this otherwise stellar collection of wisdom a five. There are a LOT of people on the planet, and the vast majority of them count as "newbies" to the mindset.

So overall, "I AM GOD - And so are you!" gets a big thumbs up from me, with one huge caviat. This is not a beginner's guide to spirituality. It is an advanced series of ideas that, with the experience and preconceptions, can become the spark that kindles the fire of enlightenment, or at least better intellectual quality of life.

Incredible Insight, Credible Explanation

In short, this book contains everything one needs to understand reality in a way that truly satisfies. The lessons it gives allow readers to take total control over their lives in ways which impact every area of one's being, as it shows that all change comes from within. Does this seem too good to be true? Many of us think so, but those who understand the core truths of reality will not only believe it, but understand why to believe it. This book is a great first step along that path. It provides incredible insight while remaining astoundingly credible.

I happened to come across Dall's lessons just as he was beginning to publish them online, and through applying them to my life, I have become fully content with who I am and what is around me. I saw that the "cure-all solution" that I sought was everywhere around me the whole time.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Be you religious or atheist, young or old, fortunate or unfortunate, you will find something of value here.

Deep layers of emotion.....

For only being 302 pages, this one will haunt you. I love this author and appreciate her unbelievable talent and creativity. One Fine Day is one that I won't forget, and probably need to read again. It is layered with complexity of emotions, motivations, and relationships. It isn't my favorite of this author's work because, (I have to be honest), it's very dark.

Austin Bennett and his sister Gabrielle were raised by an abusive father. Both have serious intimacy and attachment issues. Weir delves into the middle of each of their existences in this multi-layered novel.

Austin's story focuses on his tumultuous marriage and most recently his separation from his estranged wife Molly. Austin has a debilitating stroke at the start of the book which compels Molly to come back into his life as a temporary caregiver. I didn't sense much love lost on Molly's part, but Austin's love for Molly is much more apparent. Austin's lack of ability to communicate, show, and trust love is apparent in their interactions. Molly also has her own emotional baggage that she carried into the marriage, and the wounds Austin has left on her in the aftermath of their hurtful marriage are noticeable. Weir almost waits to long to begin the "healing" process for this couple. Their love story comes late, but is very touching and emotional.

Gabrielle is not so lucky. Her life as a stripper has "stripped" her of so much. The wounds this woman carries were tough to swallow. This book is "REAL" in the sense that not all stories have happy endings. I found myself wanting one for Gabrielle, but painful pasts take time to heal...and some never do.

This is NOT a fun, whimsical, romantic fairy tale. It's title hints at something like that, but do not be fooled. These are some wounded people who hurt themselves, and others, out of pure instincts to survive. It's a tough read emotionally and one that "takes a lot out of the reader". I recommend it, don't get me wrong, but be aware of what's in store for you.

Molly, must return to her soon-to-be ex-husband. He's recently had a stroke; he's a tyrant, a type A, a perfectionist. Molly dreads caring for him, but there's no one else to do it. For her very pregnant daughter's sake, she returns.
Austin, is helpless from the stroke. He's also very much in love--with Molly. He's been love deprived his entire life. As a result, he doesn't know how to love.
Molly and Austin find love, in this beautiful story. Or maybe, they already had it, and didn't know it. Maybe, it was a one-sided love. The layer after layer of storyline, adds to the depth of the book. This is a really perfect read!
